EOW seeks to probe firms linked to Ajit Pawar in co-op bank scam

Mumbai: The development comes two years after the agency filed a closure report stating that no fraud had been committed during the auctions. The MVA government was in power then.

The EOW needs court approval to investigate the matter further. In a written statement to the special court recently, the agency said it wanted to further probe some suspicious deals involving the Pawars along with few other transactions. It referred to the ED’s probe into a money laundering case linked to the scam.
