Chandigarh: Even as Congress functionaries rooted for making the father of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Balkaur Singh, the consensus candidate for the Sangrur parliamentary by-poll slated for June 23, he released a video message saying that he was not in the frame of mind to even consider such a thing.
Singh said he felt sad about the rumours going around on social media. He said he had just lost his son and had no plans to contest elections. He also sought the presence of the singer's fans at his bhog on June 8 and said he will share his thoughts with them there. The father also thanked people for standing by the family.
