He joined coaching with family's entire savings

When his elder brother decided to forgo his dream of pursuing BTech due to financial constraints, it sparked something in a young Binoop Thankappan. He resolved to make his family proud by realising his brother’s dream. He worked hard at school and did well in exams, but the lack of access to affordable coaching put him at a disadvantage. He got admission to a local private college, but his father couldn’t secure an education loan to pay a hefty Rs 37,500 as upfront fee for the first year. He had to back out.
