New Delhi: In a move that will make the three Inter-State Bus Terminals (ISBT) safer and more secure for commuters, Delhi government is going to install state-of-the-art surveillance systems as part of its initiative to upgrade these transport hubs.
Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DTIDC), the infrastructure arm of the transport department of Delhi government, has issued a notice inviting tenders for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of CCTV which cameras, would have many sophisticated features.
The capital's oldest ISBT at Kashmere Gate already has a substantial number of high-resolution CCTV cameras. It would get five new cameras. DTIDC would get 14 CCTV cameras installed at Anand Vihar ISBT and 10 cameras at Sarai Kale Khan ISBT. The project is estimated to cost Rs 1,14,16,331 with each Internet Protocol-based CCTV camera costing around Rs 50,000 on average.
