New Delhi: The pre-monsoon rains and partly clouded sky further dropped the city’s maximum temperature on Saturday, making it the coolest day in the last three weeks.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature at Safdarjung was recorded at 32.7 degrees Celsius, seven notches below the season’s average, against 36.7 degrees Celsius a day earlier. This makes Saturday the lowest maximum temperature for June since 2017. Earlier on June 29, 2017, the maximum temperature was 31 degrees Celsius. Saturday also marked the coolest day since May 24, when the maximum temperature was 31.5 degrees Celsius.
