The LCBO will no longer be opening its stores until the strike is resolved, reversing its original plan to open 32 select locations for limited hours starting on Friday, the company said in a statement Sunday afternoon.

The LCBO said it will instead reallocate its personnel to other parts of its operations as it continues to serve retail customers through online shopping on its website. Currently, management staff are running the operations, with orders being fulfilled within a week, according to an LCBO spokesperson.

“This pivot means that we will be able to improve how we serve Ontario bars and restaurants to help increase product selection, availability, and expedited delivery,” the company wrote. More details will be shared directly with the customers, it said.
