Teresa Resch, president of the Toronto WNBA franchise, became one of the first female front-office executives in pro sports with the Raptors.
The president of Toronto's WNBA team had her eyes on a vital women's sports role here for more than a decade since she moved from the United States to work with the Raptors.
"Oh my gosh, absolutely, yes," she said at the event Thursday to officially announce the WNBA expansion and her role with the club. "If this was going to happen in Toronto, I was going to be part of it."
Resch said the WNBA idea has been fermenting since she met owner Larry Tanenbaum.
