Capturing exotic animals in their natural habitat is what wildlife photography is all about, and when on safari, the sheer breadth and scale of the wildlife can be astounding.
And it’s not just the majestic wildlife – it’s also the people of Africa, the vibrant culture, the warm greetings and smiles. Then there is the landscape, all wide open plains, huge skies, amazing scenery, colours and trees, and gorgeous light. For our safari trip, we headed to Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, overlooked by Mount Kilimanjaro and famed for its parading elephants. Three days at the wonderful Tortilis Camp yielded several memory cards of animals large and small, predator and prey.
