Dhruva Chandrashekar claimed the honours in the Open class clocking the of the Indian National Autocross Championship, the South Zone qualifier held at the Play Factory facility on Mysuru Road in Bengaluru recently. The Autocross Nationals are being held again after a few years break.

The 1.5-km track at Play Factory had various curves, chicanes and stretches and over 60 drivers took part in the first round which is a qualifier for the South Zone.
In Open class, Dhruva Chandrashekar topped with a fastest time of 02:18.782 beating Roopesh BC by 9 seconds. Nikhil J came third, a further 8 seconds slower while Ruthuparna Vivek finished fourth.
In Upto 1450cc class, Abhin R Rai was the fastest as he clocked 2:31.917 narrowly edging past Mohanraj GP, who finished second with a difference of less than two seconds. Arvind Dheerendr a with just another second difference finished third. Moin Pasha came fourth another 4 seconds behind while Ruthuparna finished fifth, taking another second, while Kiran was sixth.
The INAC2 Open class was bagged by Jahaan Singh Gill with a total time of 02:24.999 beating Jacob KJ by two seconds. Sumesh was further slower by 3sec to settle for third position. Lady driver Pragathi Gowda missed the podium by a mere 0.035 second and had to settle for fourth position. Nikhil J was fifth another half a second behind and Maninder Singh finished sixth ahead of Thyagu Valliappa in seventh.
INAC3 Open class belonged to Abhin R Rai, who won clocking 02;34.937 and defeated his nearest rival Deepak Chandra by 18 seconds. Aditya Kousgi finished third with a further difference of 7 sec Deepak while lady driver Pallavi Yadav with a very narrow deficit of 0.137 seconds settled for the fourth position. Rajatesh Maji, a further 11 seconds behind, was fifth.
