The ICC Cricket World Cup is less than three weeks away in India and the hosts are aiming to clinch their third honour after 1983 and 2011. The last time India held the tournament in 2011 alongside Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, they went on to win the same, beating the Lankans in the final. Come 2023, India under Rohit Sharma are a force to be reckoned with. India wrapped up their 8th Asia Cup title on Sunday by blowing away Sri Lanka and that win will help them big time ahead of the mega global tournament. India had earlier announced a strong squad for the World Cup and by the look of things the squad has the depth and personnel to challenge. What bodes well for India is the presence of seasoned veterans and players returning from injuries and doing well.
