Jake Sargent and Josie Harcourt got their 2024 seasons off to a good start, finishing as fastest male and female riders at the Severn Road Club time trial in Gloucestershire.
Riding for FTP Fulfil the Potential Race Team, Harcourt clocked 31-39 for the 12.5-mile course near Falfield, while Team Bottrill’s Jake Sargent covered the course in 24-32.
The event was originally due to be 25 miles but roadworks and traffic lights on the course near Wanswell meant it was cut to a 12.5-mile out-and-back event on the A38 to Slimbridge roundabout and back.
