EVENT 1
Aug ended and Sep started with a new name on the WAGR list and that was Ram Singh Mann. Ram Singh Mann and Jia Kataria won top honours at the WAGR Junior Championship held at Golden Greens. The road for Jia and Ram towards victory was result of hard fought battles. Ram shot rounds of 75,76,75 for a total of 226 which was 1 shot better than Ishan Ahuja who shot rounds of 75,75,77 for a total of 227.Ranveer Singh Dhupia put up a good fight but finished 3rd with rounds of 77,74,78 for a total of 229. Jia also with rounds of 70,74,78 for a total of 222 manage to sneak past Palakshi Singh who had rounds of 72,73,78 form a total of 223, one shot further was Lavanya Jadon with rounds of 72,75,77 for a total of 224. In all we had more than 30 competitors.
EVENT 2
Young Master Championship held at Jaypee Greens Golf Resort again saw a new entry on the WAGR list and this was due to some great golf over 3 tough days. Ranveer Mitroo made this event a special one by becoming the youngest WAGR entrant. Ranveer shot rounds of 76,76,74 for a total of 226 and won by 3 shots from Anshul Bhati who had rounds of 77,75,77. Udai came third with rounds of 80,75,76. Ranveer’s victory margin would have been bigger but he took his foot of the accelerator on the last few holes.Great performance by this small dynamite.
