The Tennis Premier League, being the first of its kind, aims to cater to the growing popularity of tennis and to give a platform to the nation's young talent. It also equips them with the confidence to battle global competition.
The League has witnessed three very successful seasons in 2018 October 2019 December and 2021 December. All the top-ranked players of India participated and the best coaches in the country mentored their respective teams. Along with the support of celebrities, this is undoubtedly one of the biggest tennis events in India. The fourth season held in Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune in December was even bigger and added more glamour quotient to the league.
The Grand Final
The summit clash of Season 4 was a repeat of the final from Season 3 as Finecab Hyderabad Strikers faced Mumbai Leon Army. In the first match, Mumbai's Akanksha Nitture of went down to international star Conny Perrin of Hyderabad Strikers 7-13, but Ramkumar Ramanathan equalised the scores by beating Hyderabad's Nikki Poonacha 12-8 in the men's singles.
