Sport: Basketball
Recent Success After relocating to Pune recently from Bangalore, I joined 'ABC' club and represented it at district-level Basketball Tournament held at Deccan Gymkhana in November last year. Even being new in the team and city, I am happy that I could contribute to the success of the team, which secured third place. I also took part in Zilla Parishad Competition held in December representing my school and the team secured third place. I was also selected for Zonal for my performance.
Parents play a great role in the future and journey of a sports champion, and thanks to my parents that I was able to achieve such great milestones at such early age. I am sure, I would continue to scale new heights with their support. Thanks to them for encouraging me and exposing me to this environment, guiding me and respecting my choices and decisions.
Initial training
I indeed tried various sports before choosing Basketball as my career sport. Growing up thankfully I got the chance to learn every sport out there, like skating, swimming, badminton, football, track etc. I'm a district/state level player even in track, skating and swimming. But I think basketball stood out from the others since day one, I remember putting the ball through the hoop and the happiness and joy that it gave me was tremendous. I was just six when I started playing competitive sports, but the basketball journey started at the age of 10. It was the positivity, team game, the physical aggression that was in the game that attracted me towards it.
