WEST Brom have vowed to take the strongest possible action against those who disrupted last Sunday’s Black Country Derby against Wolves.

BAGGIES TO GET TOUGH WITH THE CUP THUGS

Disgraceful scenes of crowd disorder marred the match and halted play for 38 minutes as Wolves ran out 2-0 winners in the FA Cup at the Hawthorns.

Fighting erupted close to the area in the stands reserved for the players’ families, while missiles were also thrown by both sets of supporters following the visitors’ second goal.

It was the first match between the two sides in front of fans since 2012, but will now be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Albion have stated that they ‘are working with West Midlands Police, the Football Association and the club’s Safety Advisory Group to ensure the unacceptable behaviour which disrupted the Black Country derby on Sunday is never repeated at The Hawthorns’.
