Ince, 56, began his managerial career with Macclesfield in 2006 before stints at MK Dons, Blackburn, Notts County and Blackpool. After eight years out of the game he returned to the dugout at cash-strapped Reading in 2022 but won just 18 of his 58 games and was dismissed in April as relegation to League One loomed.
