WAGNER LAUDS A 'PROPER DISPLAY'

DAVID Wagner was not too despondent after seeingNorwich drop two points at home after being pegged back by Swansea City.

A win would have confirmed a place in the play-offs for the Canaries, but instead they were left to sweat on the late kickoff between Hull and Ipswich, with the Tigers knowing a victory would take them to within a point going into the final round of fixtures.

Jamie Paterson gave Swansea the lead, only for Gabriel Sara and Josh Sargent to hit back for the hosts, before Matt Grimes secured a point with a second-half penalty.

Wagner was focusing on the positives after the game however, saying: “I thought that was a proper performance.

“There was plenty of desire, hunger and intensity on show and we created lots of opportunities and the fact that we were not clinical enough when we got them is the reason we didn’t get the win.
