The National League North strugglers parted company with Sam Cox on Friday after one win in nine league games in charge, leaving them second bottom of the division having played at Step 1 last season.
Jenkins left City for Boreham Wood in May, before he was dismissed two weeks ago and replaced by Luke Garrard, who he’d initially replaced.
In an odd act of symmetry, it leaves both managers back at the clubs they oversaw until the end of last season.
“I’m delighted to be back,” said Jenkins. “I’ve kept in touch with a lot of people, it’s good to see some familiar faces again.
