FA CUP 1ST ROUND FACTFILE
- Phil Annets
WE'RE OUT TO BECOME HISTORY MAKERS

OF the 32 Non-League clubs that have qualified for the FA Cup first round, 24 have been drawn against EFL opposition - with four ties guaranteeing Non-League club presence in the second round.

Hednesford Town v Gainsborough Trinity ensures at least one club below the sixth tier will progress. Lowest ranked side in the draw, with Step 4 Hednesford Town becoming only the second club in FA Cup history to reach the first round for the second time after having started their campaign in the extra preliminary round. Victory would take the Pitmen into the second round for the first time this century having last made it that far in the 1998-99 season.

Gainsborough have had to wait even longer for a second round appearance with 72 years passing since the Holy Blues last made it that far.
