A game like so many others this weekend, played in testing conditions, but Ealing weathered the storm to continue their unbeaten run away at Bedford for a ninth season and consolidate their second placed position in the table behind Coventry.
They had to grind it out in a real physical, attritional battle but as they so often do, they ground down their opponents as Bedford’s decision to go down their infamous slope in the first half ultimately proved to be fruitless.
