WADIA GROUP

Surprisingly, almost half of the Mumbaikars are born in Wadia Hospital, but only a few are aware that the Wadia Group operates in various other sectors. Wadia Group was established in 1736 by Lovji Nusserwanjee Wadia, as a marine construction company that built historical ships like HMS Minden, HMS Cornwallis, and HMS Trincomalee. Even the first dry dock in Asia, the Bombay Dry Dock, was built by Lovji and his brother Sorabji in 1750.
