Our families are friends with each other for about 20 years and still, it took us too long to meet each other. Our Parents set us up for an arranged marriage where we first met each other. It was written in our stars to be together because it was love at first sight for both of us and we said yes to each other in our very first meeting itself!
We always wished to have a destination wedding so we settled on Namami Ganges Resort in Rishikesh. Because I grew up in Rishikesh it held a sentimental value for me and also reflected our love for our Vedic culture.
Our wedding was a 4-day long affair from 12th to 15th November and we kept it close to our near and dear only. On the 13th morning, we had haldi with the traditional decor theme of yellow and white. The setup was on the poolside deck overlooking the flowing Ganga, with the abundance of exquisite yellow marigold and white rajnigandha.
