Love the idea of Christmas but find you're simply too frazzled and exhausted to enjoy it? Try these healthy tricks...
Shake Off Festive Fatigue!

Practise Saying 'No'

Many people feel exhausted in the run-up to Christmas because they are simply trying to do too much, warns Biokult nutritionist Rosie Millen, who specialises in fatigue and energy management. "Write a 'stop doing' list and include all the things that are zapping your time and energy. Then delegate where you can," she suggests.

Walk Every Morning

A 10-minute walk, first thing, in the natural light, can provide a greater energy boost than an espresso, according to University of Georgia scientists. Make this easier by getting up at the same time every day, even if you've had a late night, suggests Lisa Artis of The Sleep Charity (thesleepcharity.co.uk). "However tempting that lie-in seems, it knocks your body clock out of kilter, which can leave you feeling even more tired."

Watch A Christmas Comedy

A good laugh can do far more than simply put a smile on your face. When participants in a US study were shown 12-minute comedy clips, they reported a decrease in tension as well as an energy boost.
