After first making a name for herself three decades ago as a chat show host, Vanessa Feltz is now one of TVâs most recognisable faces. Here, Woman sits down with the star, 62, to discuss her new book, Vanessa Bares All: Frank, Funny and Fearless, in which she opens up about finding love after heartbreak (she split from fiancé Ben Ofoedu in January last year after it emerged that he had cheated), the reality show sheâd love to take part in and setting her sights on Hollywood.
Hi Vanessa, howâs single life treating you?
Itâs OK, thank you. Although Iâve been ill recently and am still feeling pretty rotten. I hope day by day Iâll start to feel better.
Are you looking for love?
Iâm not âlookingâ for love but I am hoping I might find it somehow. I donât like being single; Iâm not someone who enjoys it, so I hope to meet somebody sometime.
What are you looking for in your next partner?
Just someone kind and decent that I can trust, thatâs all I want.
Your last partner was 10 years younger than you â do you think youâll go for someone closer to your own age next time?
I think itâs about personality, not age. Itâs about morals; they need to have a moral compass.
What would you say are the best and worst things about ageing?
