We didn’t know what a scythe was before Aidan brandished one in the first series of Poldark back in 2015, but we sure as hell do now. The series may have finished in 2019, but our love for Clondalkin-born Aidan, now 39, continues.
PAUL MESCAL
He shot to fame back in 2020 for his role as Connell in BBC hit Normal People, but now County Kildare-born Paul, 27, is part of the Hollywood elite – having recently been cast in the highly-anticipated Gladiator sequel.
JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS
Born in Dublin, Jonathan, 45, rose to fame in the late 1990s for his role in Titus before bagging a role as Henry VIII in historical drama The Tudors in 2007. These days, the star is still as handsome as ever as he stars in a string of films due out this year.
