Art of Living

Namrata yawned and dropped the empty cup of coffee in the kitchen sink. In a sluggish, slow motion, she returned to her room and creaked open her wardrobe to pick out her office clothes for the day.

But while she was standing there, in front of her closet, her gaze shifted to the cupboard adjoining the closet. She stared at the stack of unused notebook journals and boxes of art supplies that she had been hoarding for years. Then, with a deep sigh, she turned towards to peep at the clock, quickly grabbed her clothes and towel, and walked away to take her morning bath.

The stack of unused notebook journals and untouched art supplies hovered around in their cupboard shelves, wondering when is their turn...

Namrata was a 30-year-old woman and worked as a graphic designer in an IT organisation. She had been working there for four years. While during the initial period, she had been enjoying her job very much, in the past few months, the job had been adding nothing but oodles of stress on her body and mind.

Each morning, she would look at the unused journals and art supplies, and think that she would do something. But each day, the commitments of her work seemed to swallow up her time like anything. Even the weekends would pass like a jiffy, that she spent hanging out with her colleagues or friends.
