It’s a big month for Alfa Romeo fans in Auto Italia’s September issue. In a world exclusive story, we test drive the Alma Sprint, a superb new Alfasud Sprint 6C-inspired restomod made in Portugal. It’s a giant Alfa Romeo birthday this month: the famous Quadrifoglio badge turns 100 years old. We celebrate every Cloverleaf Alfa from 1923 right up to today’s Giulia Quadrifoglio. It was 50 years ago that Ferrari put its first V8 engine in a road car - a great reason to celebrate with four generations of V8 Ferraris, from 308 GT4 to SF90. There’s much more Ferrari action this month with stories on triumph at Le Mans, driving a Purosangue and the 1963 250 GTE Le Mans pace car. Two classic car group tests make this month’s Auto Italia unmissable. This month’s Auto Italia is full of unique surprises. You could say we’re doing a ‘double Drogo’ this month with two Drogo-themed Ferraris. 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of Ferrari and to celebrate we’ve plenty about Prancing Horses in this month’s issue. Not only do we have a full road and track test of the new 296 GTB – Ferrari’s first ever V6 road car – but we do a run-down of the 75 greatest cars ever made at Maranello. We have news of three more highly important newcomers this month: SUVs from Alfa Romeo (Tonale) and Maserati (Grecale), plus 2023’s Maserati GranTurismo (with fully 1200hp).
