A special issue of 198 pages, dedicated to books and book reading. Learned people from various academic fields have written in this issue about some book they have recently read, which has moved them, has enriched them and modified their thoughts. We have Rajatkanta Roy, Dipesh Chakraborty, Goutam Bhadra, Chinmoy Guha, Anirban Chattopadhyay and many others as authors.

A separate section remembers great academicians like lexicographer Haricharan Bandopadhyay, Brahmo leader Debendranath Tagore, whose jubilee of birth falls this year. Bratya Basu remembers Italian playwright Pirandello.

We also have our usual sections. In Mantabya, Joydip Chakraborty writes on Congress-SP coalition in UP.
