are ancient, while others date back from the Medieval times. Many of
these are characterized by watchtowers and gates, most of them have
walkways, all of which provide a fascinating glimpse into defence and
military architecture. These walls have withstood centuries of history,
including invasions and wars, symbolizing the city’s resilience to invad￾ers. Today, they take us on a captivating stroll through time, revealing
the city’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. This issue is dedicated
to what we would like to call ‘Wall Tourism’ although that sub-tourism
category is yet to be recognised globally. We decided to set the trend
