By curating personalized content recommendations, algorithms make it simpler for consumers to find content that is relevant to their interests. Immersive storytelling experiences are made possible by virtual and augmented reality technologies, which is altering how we interact with media material. 
However, these advancements raise important ethical and societal questions. The growth of deep fakes challenges the authenticity of media, making it increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction. 
The algorithms that power content recommendations can lead to filter bubbles and echo chambers, reinforcing people's existing beliefs and limiting exposure to diverse perspectives.

GST Council of India - Fighting Against Tax Evasion

The GST taxation in India has been a heated debate right from its inception. For the past few days, there has been great turmoil about the laws and judicial matters regarding GST taxation across the country. Now, the GST council strictly clarifies all jurisdictional issues and commands the enforcement wing to follow the show cause notices devised by the council. 

It is time for the state and central authorities to complete all the meaningful actions against the parties detected with GST evasion. The Secretariat of the GST council has specified that show-cause notices are being issued with various tools and techniques, and GST evasion detection is being prioritized by the Finance department of the Indian government. Multiple investigation memorandums have been elicited for better functioning. 

The annual GST evasion turnover is estimated at 1.5 crores. Inflation is one of the current key concerns before the GST council. The GST council members will hold meetings in Madurai before mid-November to clarify the issues and elicit certain action plans. The GST council also plans to levy heavy taxes on online gaming. New policies are apprehended to be passed regarding the rationalization of the GST rates in the 48th GST council meeting.

The Indian Rupee hits a record low. The Indian currency dropped to a massive all-time record low of 80.05 against 1 US dollar. You will now have to pay more for your mobile phones and save even more for holidays abroad. 

This is the most massive fall of the rupee against UD dollars. Since 2014, the Indian Rupee worth has declined by more than 25%. Here are some crucial updates you need to know about the rupee depreciation value. 

Some of the vital reasons for this fall are:

● Prolonged inflation is being attributed to the economic crisis raised by COVID 19. 

● The second vital reason for this fall is the Russia-Ukraine war. There is massive disruption of the supply chains.

● Multiple foreign investors have pulled out of India, weakening the country's foreign portfolio. The core reason behind this is - rising interest rates in the USA as compared to the Indian market. 

You might be thinking - how will all these complex matters affect you as a commoner? Well, the answer is that - the gas and fuel you buy will get more expensive. The raw materials needed for car building will get expensive, leading to a rise in vehicle cost, and most importantly - everyday use items such as sunflower oils will get expensive.

Abortion in India has been legal under various circumstances for the last 50 years with the introduction of Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act in 1971. The Act was amended in 2003 to enable women's accessibility to safe and legal abortion services. 
Further In 2021, MTP Amendment Act 2021 was passed with certain amendments in the MTP Act including all women being allowed to seek safe abortion services on grounds of contraceptive failure, increase in gestation limit to 24 weeks for special categories of women, and opinion of one provider required up to 20 weeks of gestation. Abortion is covered 100% by the government's public national health insurance funds, Ayushman Bharat and Employees' State Insurance.
In wake of recent uproar in America about woman’s right to abortion, Indian scenario is quite different due to socio-economic factors. Here the in-laws including husband hardly give choice to woman about abortion due to several factors, leading to high mortality rate in both foetal and pregnant women. Law is necessary to curb such criminal mindsets.
