Highlights of Auto Today dated September 2022 issue: The latest issue of Auto Today Magazine is out now and the star of our cover and our Top Story this month is the Mahindra XUV400, the brand's first all-electric SUV and one that'll get the ball rolling for the company in the EV space before the arrival of more, purpose built electric SUVs in the coming years. On the other, premium end of the spectrum, Mercedes-Benz has been busy expanding its EV portfolio and we've taken the Mercedes-Benz GLB SUV for a spin to find out what to expect from the brand's next electric car for India. There's also the lowdown on the Tachyon Nb, an electric motorcycle attempting to break the land speed record, and new tech that could very well shape the future of EV batteries. While the buzz has all been around EVs, we're seeing strong representation from hybrids in the mainstream segments with Toyota rolling out the Urban Cruiser Hyryder which we've reviewed in this issue. The list of new cars we've driven also includes the all-new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and the refreshed Mahindra Scorpio that is now being sold as Mahindra Scorpio Classic. The brand new Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the facelifted Hyundai Venue take on the Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite in our Road Test to stake claim on the sub-4m compact SUV crown. The Food Trails series continues as we journey into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh with the Hyundai Alcazar for good food. We embarked on an epic journey with a mission to plant at least a tree for every kilometre we drove with the new Mahindra Scorpio-N heading to the four corners of the country from Mahindra's home in Mumbai. In the 75th year of India’s independence, we can proudly claim that in association with Mahindra and using the Scorpio-N as our vehicle of choice, we have planted 75,000 trees through the Green Drive Project and you can read all about how the journey unfolded and feast your eyes on some incredible images from the drive in this issue of Auto Today. The First Ride section features the review of the BMW G 310 RR, the company's most affordable supersport developed in partnership with TVS. As always, there are updates on our long term cars and motorcycles including the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Kia Carens, Skoda Kushaq, Royal Enfield Scram, Royal Enfield Hunter and the Ola S1 Pro as well as all the news and developments from the domestic, international, commercial, motorsport and electric automotive scene. We'll be back next month with more and until then, stay safe, always wear a helmet when on a two-wheeler and buckle up no matter where you are in the car.
