Including features of an ‘aparthotel’, the spaces of this hospitality venue have been created with a flexible, multi-function purpose.


The new European headquarters of Bloomberg is located between the Bank of England and the St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Although representing its unique location and current era, the design also responds to its historic context and is also a true exemplar of sustainable development.

An office building that combines elaborate structural elements with environmentally-friendly features and stylish, inviting spaces was created by The Design Group Five International for People’s Leasing and Finance in Colombo. A nearly century-old house has been transformed to an eclectic and relaxing boutique hotel, which echoes the elegance of the 1920s through the styling of its interior. Connected with nature and island culture, 55TG Colombo is a representation of the sumptuous artistic styles of Sri Lanka.

Set within picturesque mountains, valleys, forests and lakes, The Kumaon is a boutique hotel that embodies tropical modernism and a structure sensitive of the environment. Highlighting the landscape, the design, by Sri Lankan architects Pradeep Kodikara and Jineshi Samaraweera, stays true to the culture and traditions of Uttarakhand with all elements of construction sourced from the area except for the bamboo.
