There is always room to be different — to act upon our greatest desires, slip into the uncomfortable, and perhaps ignore the rules just for once. Wise words we applied for this November '23 issue — made up of ideas we once scraped, initially removed by the team for fear that not many would understand the premise. Some of them were centred around alternative personalities in Malaysia, while others sought to grapple a different approach to how we view local and international fashion. I used to believe the time was not yet right for Men’s Folio Malaysia to be seen as anything but quintessentially classic. After all, its memory amongst Malaysians embraces subtle fashion nuance and a certain maturity.
