Romy Titus has never not had pets in her life
Romy Titus is well known in the sporting community as the journalist who brings soccer fans the latest touchline news from the premiere soccer leagues and national festivals on radio and television. Animaltalk visits her at home with her nine-month-old daughter, Hera, as well as P-Nut, the 17-year-old Chihuahua mixed breed, and the one-year-old Chihuahua, Bon-Bon, to find out more about her love for animals.
She tells us how she actually wanted to become a vet, but had to pursue journalism when her math marks didn’t qualify her to study her first choice. “If I could do it all over again, I’d most probably come back as a vet,” laughs Romy. She has always loved animals that much.
Juggling all her responsibilities as a human and pet parent, as well as her career, isn’t always easy. “I try to fit everything into my life, but I don’t. We always say that there is a balance in life, but is there really a balance? In one point in time there is always something that demands more attention than the other. It might be the pets, at some point it is the career, or the baby, but at least I always try,” says Romy.
