AIM
RIDING over simple canter poles, progressing to cavaletti and then into a jump is a useful exercise because it creates quality and roundness of the canter. It also builds concentration and awareness in the horse and improves the horse’s agility, athleticism and core fitness.
I perform this exercise with all of my horses from four years old through to advanced. I simply increase the difficulty as they become more experienced.
