A NEW “quality control” scheme for showing judges is to be piloted next year by the Coloured Horse and Pony Society (CHAPS).
Under the present system in most societies, once a judge is appointed to a panel, he or she is not normally reassessed. But under the new CHAPS scheme, performances at certain shows will be observed and critiqued by mentors drawn from a panel of respected senior judges.
