ŠKODA HAS HUGE PLANS OF SELLING A LAKH CARS SOON.
In conversation with Zac Hollis Brand Director, ŠKODA AUTO India

IS ŠKODA ON TRACK FOR THE VISION IN? WHEN CAN WE SEE IT LAUNCHED IN THE COUNTRY?

Yes, India 2.0 project is on track and Vision IN will be introduced as planned in 2021

APART FROM THE VISION IN, WHAT WILL MAKE UP THE ŠKODA PORTFOLIO HERE IN INDIA?

Along with VISION IN (A0 SUV), we will have the KAROQ, RAPID, Nextgen OCTAVIA, SUPERB, and KODIAQ that will make a robust ŠKODA portfolio in India. Later in 2021 after the A0 SUV we will have A0 NB Sedan0. I can ensure you that these vehicles will meet the same core standards for safety, quality, and design that the ŠKODA AUTO (and the Volkswagen Group) represents the world over.

WHEN IS THE OCTAVIA EXPECTED TO MAKE A RE-ENTRY INTO INDIA?

The next-gen OCTAVIA is expected to hit the Indian roads by end of Q4 2020

WE ASSUME THE VRS CARS SOLD OUT IN RECORD TIME. DOES THIS GIVE US HOPE IN GETTING MORE VRS BADGED CARS IN INDIA?

Initially, we sold out the Octavia vRS but then there were some cancellations due to the COVID situation in the country. So a few RS are available for customers. For many people personal situation has changed, but it also gives an opportunity to those who missed out on booking the new Octavia RS.

As we speak deliveries of the model have already started and the first Skoda Octavia RS 245 was delivered to a customer in Goa as soon as sales operations were allowed to resume in the country.

Yes, we would like to offer vRS badged car with the new Generation OCATIVA.
