Amazing Private MF Museum Opening
Classic Massey & Ferguson Enthusiast|January - February 2018

It was a wonderful pleasure to be invited to the Hoey family premises near Rathmooney, Lusk, Dublin, for the official opening, so to speak, of their new Massey Ferguson Museum, which was basically created in just 11 weeks! It was an amazing event, attended by over 6,000 people in a very jovial festive atmosphere, writes the editor. It raised thousands of Euros for St Vincent de Paul, which helps thousands of genuine needy people, particularly over the festive season.

Amazing Private MF Museum Opening

The Hoey family’s MF museum building has been in the offing for some time, but when you are heading up such a massive family business, spare time for other projects is scarce. However, what has been achieved here very much complements the stunning Ford building on site and is even better, quite frankly, setting new standards for such things in Europe.

I judge it without doubt number one in the world, having seen similar things done across the globe with other makes, particularly remembering there are a number of Massey-Harris collections that have been presented in a similar way.

Original Is Best!

Peter Love travelled to Shropshire to take in a very original Massey Ferguson 65 Mk2 that its owner purchased some 15 years ago. Yet it is only now that he has got it out of the shed and taken it to a couple of events. At Tractor World Autumn at Newbury Showground in October, it took 'Best Exhibit in Show' and quite rightly so, writes Peter. We find out the best way to clean up a tractor like this and get the best out of it, at the same time keeping the original look
