As we all know, Aprilia’s scooters are a premium bunch. They comprise a good amount of Italian design flair and as a result, grab your attention with their unique looks. Aprilia’s scooters also lean towards the sporty side of things with the way they are set up mechanically, which makes them fun to ride – something that you’ll appreciate more if you exude a slightly more enthusiastic riding style. You don’t simply buy an Aprilia scooter if you expect a plush ride over bumps, or outstanding fuel efficiency figures in return, no, because these are not aspects the SXR and SR models are designed to ace in the first place. Scooters that brandish the Aprilia badge are all about flair and performance, and that’s what makes them so unique and sets them apart from the other similar displacement scooters in the market.
Less than half a year after launching its flagship scooter the SXR 160 last December, Aprilia launched another smaller displacement SXR model in India earlier on in May this year – the SXR 125. Now If you’ve already checked out the SXR 160 before, you’d think that this was the exact same scooter. And to some extent you wouldn’t be wrong, that’s because, apart from the obvious difference in displacement and power output, both the SXR 160 and 125 models have a lot in common.
