The Stralis is of course right at the end of its production life, with the S-Way finally due to arrive here this summer. The new truck is sure to attract much greater interest. Underneath the existing Stralis cab, the driveline that’ll be used in the S-Way has been in service since 2017 and the update to Euro 6c, then 6d.
It was with great delight we were able to get hold of Iveco’s own press demonstrator in March, right before the Covid-19 lockdown. A flagship 570XP, it would not only give us the opportunity to say farewell to the Stralis, but it would also give us an idea of what to expect performance-wise from the new S-Way.
The 69 plates Stralis was delivered to Iveco dealers North West Truck & Van in Newcastle, where I picked it up for four days driving with W Martin Oliver Transport (who I ran the Range-T High Racing Sport for a few weeks before).
