And the cruise line has even more in store for 2020 when Silver Moon, another brand new ship, arrives in August, enabling authentic onboard and onshore experiences owing to the new culinary concept S.A.L.T.

Designed exclusively for the Galápagos, Silver Origin offers a new way to explore this precious region by combining Silversea’s trademark levels of luxury with its local destination expertise.

Unique shore excursions led by Silversea’s expert Expedition Team and the archipelago’s highest Zodiac-to-guest ratio, ensure there are lots of exciting opportunities for exploration, but Silver Origin delivers more than just this.

Ecuadorian culture can be experienced on board the 100-guest ship, too, through daily briefings and lectures, as well as delicious local cuisine prepared by Ecuadorian chefs.

As Silversea is committed to making a positive impact on the environment, Silver Origin is also one of the most eco-friendy cruise ships ever built, with technology that prevents the anchor damaging the sea floor, and freshwater purification systems, which reduce the need for single-use plastic water bottles. Silversea has also launched a fund to support grassroots conservation efforts in the region and safeguard its future wellbeing.
