As we come closer to the exhibition date, there seems to be much excitement among the industry heads and also the visitors and the media. The 11th Edition of Excon 2022 is here. Ever since it began, this has been the largest trade show for construction equipment and machinery industry. Every two years, the organisers have improved on the theme and have brought forth several innovations and encouraged exhibitors to come up with new technologies. This year too, the organisors, mainly the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are organising the South Asia’s largest construction equipment and construction technology trade fair at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru from May 17-21, 2022.
The key elements which will have enhanced focus in Excon 2021 this year will be on the alignment of its theme – “Building India for a New World – Competitiveness, Growth, Sustainability, Technology”. Some of the highlights includes exclusive focus on alternate fuels, women in infrastructure, AI pavilion, finance plaza besides sustainability, MSMEs, digital transformation, among others.
Deepak Shetty, CEO & MD, JCB India, chairman, Excon, says, “Excon 2021 is indeed going to be the first major exhibition for the construction equipment industry, post-pandemic, hence, expectations are high. There is likely to be an even greater active participation by the industry than what we have seen in the past editions. We are expecting 1,000+ exhibitors from India and abroad, including from countries like the USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, UAE, South Korea, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.”
