In their second year now, the Awards were conferred on 40 budding in house and external counsels aged 40 years and below
The rain did not dampen spirits at the 2nd Edition of “Legal Era Rising Star Awards 2017” held in June in Mumbai. If the response last year to the then maiden initiative was overwhelming, this time around, it surpassed all expectations. Not surprisingly, the organizer, Legal Era Magazine, was quick to point out that the distinguished jury had a really hard time paring down the seemingly endless list to just 40 winners.
In a fitting tribute to these first-of-a-kind Awards recognizing excellence among budding young lawyers and law firms, Chief Guest Hon’ble Justice B.N. Srikrishna, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, in his opening address said, “Such platforms were not available during our time. Legal Era has done an excellent job of organizing such an event where lawyers can interact with each other. According to me, not just others but even lawyers can be awarded the ‘Bharat Ratna’ for their exceptional performance.”
