There were a whopping 23,000 products on display at the recently-held China International Consumer Electronics (CICE) Expo at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
At the previous, inaugural expo, Chinese Premier, Xi Jin Peng, said: “Work together for an open, global economy.” More than 5,000 products debuted for the first time at the expo. An open China is working with the world to build a better future.
Speaking on the occasion, Li Baijun, Economic & Commercial Minister of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in India, said: “This is the largest exhibition organized by China in India. The Indian side has supported and helped us a lot. Financial volume increased to $95.5 million. CE is the most significant in India. Xiaomi is driving a large number of initiatives. Many well-known companies are also trying to expand their business here. There is hope that there will be a better communication bridge between Chinese and Indian companies. We believe there will be great advantages for India.”
Prof. NK Goyal, chairman, CMAI, noted: “We have been participating in the exhibition for the last two years. It is a very successful collaboration between India and China. As TEMA, we have been dealing with China since 1984. The interest, commitment of Chaoyu Exhibition is very much there.”
Chen Cantao, GM, Chaoyu Exhibition, welcomed the dignitaries. The 2019 expo covers an area of 8,000sq.m. It showcased over 23,000 new products in CE, home automation, energy, components, etc. Many leading brands from China were part of the show. These brands are companies across Guangdong, Zhongshan, Foshan, Zhuhai, Dongguan and Shenzhen.
