Secret Split Sparks New Fears For The Beckhams

They’ve battled constant scrutiny over the state of their 19-year marriage in recent months, with accusations that the pair are leading increasingly separate lives from each other.

And last week, David Beckham fuelled speculation once again when it was claimed he was cutting ties with long-term business partner and manager Simon Fuller – who is Victoria’s manager and the brains behind the success of the Spice Girls and Brand Beckham.

DEEPER ISSUES

Reports claimed David wanted to buy Simon out of their joint ventures so that he could go it alone and concentrate on becoming a “businessman” following his incredibly successful football career.

As news of the reported fallout broke, hundreds of fans speculated online whether this signalled deeper issues between David and Victoria. One wrote, “David getting ready to go solo in all areas,” while another added, “He’s untangling himself from anything connected with his wife.” Another speculated, “Divorce is pending, so they need to sort things out.”

Simon first worked with Victoria in the ’90s and was said to be the man responsible for taking the Spice Girls to global chart domination.

In 2003, Victoria and David signed Simon as the manager of their brand – a move reportedly instigated by Victoria – and he was charged with turning them into international superstars. Simon was responsible for taking Becks to the US to play for LA Galaxy in 2007 – which hugely increased the former England star’s fame and earnings – and is credited with securing many of David’s lucrative deals.

Insiders say David – whose business recorded £24.9 million profit after tax last year – will allegedly have to negotiate how to buy Simon out of his empire after so many years working together.
