There’s a thrill and excitement in picking up subjects that are not ordinary. Fun is in doing the extraordinary. I want to keep challenging myself. Only this helps you evolve as an actor. The fact that Udta Punjab has done so well has only proved that there is nothing like commercial or non-commercial cinema. There’s only good content and bad content.
What was the finest compliment you received for Udta Punjab?
People have been generous with their words post Udta Punjab. The finest compliment however was when someone wrote to me saying the film had moved him so deeply that he felt encouraged to take his first step towards quitting drugs. I will treasure that for life.
