DONALD TRUMP is reeling with shock and fury after the House Select Committee probe of the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot plopped him into the center of a coup attempt that left nine dead and nearly toppled American democracy.

Sources close to the 76-year-old former president say he's outraged over being linked by the committee made up of two Republicans and seven Democrats to a "coordinated, multi-step effort" to overturn the 2020 presidential election with unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud and violent insurrection.

Now the panel's secret findings are exploding on worldwide TV after a series of bombshell, prime-time hearings.

"Trump has been increasingly unnerved by the committee's work," says an insider. "He's been obsessed with who testified and what secrets they may have revealed."

Baltimore shrink Dr. John Gartner insists Trump was already "clearly delusional" in the weeks after losing the 2020 vote by insisting the election "was stolen contrary to all available evidence and the finding of his own attorney general.

"He was obviously out of touch with reality and clearly so desperate to cling to power that I believe he was clinically displaying megalomaniacal thinking."

Now, the former commander-in-chief is terrified he could end up behind bars, insiders say.
