Michelle Moving On?

Michelle Moving On?

'I’d love to do films,’ Michelle Keegan told us recently. And luckily, her wish might well be granted in the near future, with advance reviews of her new BBC drama Our Girl heaping praise on the 26-year-old Mancunian actress and tipping her for superstardom. But while she’s moving onwards and upwards in her career, her big moment has been overshadowed by the drama surrounding her and her husband of 16 months Mark Wright.

Following a very public Twitter spat with actor Danny Dyer after a reported altercation at a recent charity football match, it was at V Festival on 20 August where the drama really kicked off. Danny, 39, was there for his stag/hen do with wife-to-be Joanne Mas when things took a dramatic turn. At around 10pm the EastEnders actor became involved in a verbal altercation with Mark and his friends, and it reportedly turned physical. Later, Danny’s daughter Dani, 20, said she’d ‘witnessed the whole thing’ and said: ‘5 on 1 is never fair,’ as her dad was seen sporting a black eye.

Mark, 29, was quick to go on the defensive, tweeting the following day: ‘I would like to confirm that I personally wasn’t involved in any physical confrontation’. But that hasn’t stopped him receiving death threats and angry comments from his Instagram followers. ‘Totally disgusting behaviour!’ said one user. ‘Used to think @wrighty_ was decent, lost all respect now. No backbone,’ said another. However, others were quick to jump to his defence, with one saying: ‘I am not a Mark Wright fan but I don’t see why people think this is his fault.’
