And the couple – who packed on the PDA while cuddling courtside at a recent LA Lakers game – upped the cute factor for the singer’s 36th birthday on December 2, when personal trainer Sam showered Brit with gifts and surprised her with a candle and cupcake-filled room. Yep, dude sure is a keeper!

“Couldn’t ask for a better way to kick off my birthday,” the lucky lady gushed.

But NW has learnt that Sam, 23, didn’t stop there and saved his best pressie till last – a shiny new engagement ring! OMG!

“He proposed on her birthday. It was his big, big gift,” an insider close to the lovebirds tells us exclusively. “Britney didn’t hesitate to say ‘yes’. She’s known she’s wanted to marry Sam for a while.”
