She escaped her toxic marriage, but will her hubby get his revenge?

Inside Mel 's Nightmare 10 Years Of Torture

Ever since they tied the knot in 2007 after just two months of dating, it was widely believed that overtly sexual Melanie “Mel B” Brown enjoyed an open marriage with her husband Stephen Belafonte.

But in explosive court documents filed on April 2, the former Spice Girl claims that throughout their 10-year union, her “extremely aggressive” and “violent” husband forced her into threesomes and group sex –and abused her to the point she almost took her own life.

“I am in fear of my safety and I am in fear of being irreparably harmed as a result of [his] threats,” Mel, 41, states in the court papers, which included a request for a restraining order against Stephen.

But NW has learnt that as harrowing and shocking as Mel’s allegations are, they may just be the tip of the iceberg.

“Who knows what else will emerge as their divorce battle continues?” says an insider.

The frightening details that have already surfaced about their allegedly “toxic” relationship have left many shocked and wondering how she lasted a decade in what has been dubbed “the scariest marriage in showbiz”.

Indeed, there was no honeymoon period for Mel, who claims that “immediately” after their wedding, Stephen showed his true colours – controlling her, assaulting her and emotionally abusing her by deeming her “worthless”.
